Think Spring… by giving the gift of flowers that last all season!
This year, honor someone you love with the gift of a Budding Bed at Rutgers Gardens that will bloom all summer. The flower bed will be marked with a special plaque acknowledging both you and your honoree, and you can visit it any time when Rutgers Gardens is open. At the end of the bloom season, Rutgers Gardens will give you the plaque to keep, or you may choose to have it remain safely stored at Rutgers Gardens to use again during the following season.
Your gift of $150 supports Rutgers Gardens while providing 10 feet of breathtaking annual flowers in the Donald B. Lacey Display Garden during the 2024 season. Returning donors for whom we have a 2023 plaque stored onsite can elect to participate using last year’s plaque for $125.
All proceeds raised through the Budding Beds program will support Rutgers Gardens, helping to grow and enhance the Donald B. Lacey Display Garden to delight the public and provide food for our hundreds of summer butterflies and other pollinators.
$109 of your $150 gift is tax deductible. If you are a returning donor using your 2023 plaque, all $125 of your gift is tax deductible.
To donate a new plaque, visit this webpage and follow the instructions. The Rutgers Gardens office will reach out directly to 2023 Budding Beds donors to see if they’re interested in participating again this year and if they are using last year’s plaque.
