Enjoy your next memorable event in the peaceful, natural setting of Rutgers Gardens. With the festivities centered at the rustic log cabin and pavilion, you and your guests will also have direct access to the adjoining gardens and woodlands to wander and enjoy. Whether an intimate baby shower with the charm of the historic log cabin, or a birthday or corporate event with lawn games and walking trails, our unique venue is perfect for your next party or gathering.
Weekend events (Friday through Sunday) are scheduled for afternoon, starting as early as 1:00pm. If you would like to plan your event earlier in the day, please contact us for details. Events held Monday through Thursday can begin as early as 8:00am.
All private events require a $300 deposit. The deposit is refundable after the event has taken place. Deposits are nonrefundable in the event of a cancellation.
Rental Fee Includes
- Use of the log cabin and pavilion from 1:00pm until 10:00pm.
- Tables and metal chairs for up to 200 people. (Upgrade to white padded chairs for an additional $2 per chair.)
- In case of inclement weather, tent-like sides for the pavilion can be rented for $250.
You may choose from one of our experienced caterers, who will provide full service and staffing for your event. Please contact them directly for information on food selections, pricing and décor. If you have religious or cultural dietary restrictions, please contact Alycia John to discuss options.
For those of you wanting a romantic location to propose to your love, look no further! The rate to do a proposal at Rutgers Gardens is $350, which includes a 3 hour time frame (including any necessary set up and breakdown) and a photography permit. You must call the office or fill out the special event inquiry below, to schedule your proposal and ensure the time is available. Please advise how many people will be in attendance and what decorations are involved.
