Enjoy your next memorable event in the peaceful, natural setting of Rutgers Gardens. With the festivities centered at the rustic Log Cabin and Pavilion, you and your guests will also have direct access to the adjoining gardens and woodlands to wander and enjoy. Whether an intimate baby shower with the charm of the historic Log Cabin, a birthday, or corporate event, our unique venue is perfect for your next party or gathering.
Due to the seasonal nature of Rutgers Gardens, facility rentals are only available May 14th through November 3rd.
The Rutgers Gardens venue rental is available to Rutgers Gardens Members and Rutgers University Departments only. For new members wishing to join, membership can be processed at the time of rental confirmation.
Rental requests are addressed in the order in which they are received. Therefore, preferred dates may not be available.
Rental Fee Includes
- Use of the Log Cabin and Pavilion for designated event hours.
- Maximum seating:
- Log Cabin – 20 guests.
- Pavilion – 120 guests. An extension tent, arranged by your caterer for an additional charge, provides for a total 150 guests.
- In case of inclement weather, tent-like sides can be rented for $250. Requests must be arranged 72 hours in advance.
You may choose one of our experienced caterers, who provide full service and staffing for your event. Please contact them directly for information on food selections, pricing, and décor. In the event our caterers are unable to meet your needs, please contact us to discuss alternative options.
