The Rutgers Gardens is an independent, non-profit organization supported by membership, donations, endowments and a group of dedicated volunteers.  We are one of the few botanical gardens that do not have a visitor fee and are open 365 days a year.  You are welcome to come as often as you like and enjoy our "living museum" with a large array of gardens and plant collections.

Your support will help provide the necessary funding for the Gardens program of education in horticulture and garden related topics for the homeowner, and make certain that these programs continue to exist and benefit the community in the future. In return we offer many wonderful membership benefits.

  • Free admission and discounts to over 150 of the gardens and arboreta who

Student $10.00 Primary privileges for one with a valid student ID
Friend $40.00 Primary privileges for one
Family $65.00 Primary privileges for two adults and two children at the same address
Educator $55.00 Primary privileges for one plus a guided tour
Sponsor $150.00 Primary privileges plus an invitation to the Spring Sale preview and a 10% discount
Benefactor $500.00 Primary privileges plus two tickets to the Garden Gala along with an engraved plaque in the Gardens which recognizes your contribution.
