Whether you are looking to get married in a tranquil garden or celebrate a special occasion at our Log Cabin and Alumni Pavilion, our unique venue offers an enchanting backdrop that you and your guests will always remember.
Space within Rutgers Gardens will be available to rent from May 12, 2025, through November 2, 2025.
Our staff will begin accepting rental requests via a form posted to this webpage after January 2, 2025. Rental request forms are processed within 5 to 7 business days in the order they are received.
Wedding ceremonies in our outdoor gardens
Choose from the Roy H. DeBoer Evergreen Garden, which can accommodate up to 175 people, or the Art Rudolph Sun and Shade Garden, which can accommodate up to 150 people, for an unforgettable outdoor wedding ceremony. You are welcome to visit Rutgers Gardens during our operating hours to explore these two gardens and explore whether one is right for your ceremony.
Private events and receptions at the Log Cabin and Alumni Pavilion
The rustic Log Cabin can accommodate up to 20 guests for an intimate indoor gathering.
The Alumni Pavilion can accommodate up to 120 guests and is ideal for larger parties and wedding receptions.
- An extension tent, arranged through one of our approved caterers for an additional charge, can add capacity for another 30 guests for a total of 150 attendees.
- In case of inclement weather, tent-like sides can be rented from Rutgers Gardens to provide coverage along the Alumni Pavilion for an additional fee.
Renting the Rutgers Gardens facilities for private events is a privilege extended only to Rutgers Gardens Members and Rutgers University departments or official programming. Memberships can be processed at the time your rental arrangements are confirmed with our office staff.
