Guided Group Tours
Rutgers Gardens is pleased to offer guided group tours of our beautiful grounds and garden areas from June through September.
Group tours are approximately 1 hour in length and feature the history, ecology, and plants of Rutgers Gardens, showcasing areas that are in bloom or of particular interest at the time.
Please note that tours must be booked a minimum of one week in advance and dates/times are subject to availability.
Tour Schedule and Fees
- Guided group tours are generally available Thursday afternoons from June 4, 2026 through September 24, 2026, starting at 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., or 2:00 p.m.
- Additional times may be available upon request and depending on guide availability.
Adults: $10.00 per person
Seniors: (65 and older): $8.00 per person
Children: $5.00 per child

Please note that your tour is not confirmed until we receive payment and provide a receipt.
Tour Guidelines
- Guided group tours are held rain or shine, though Rutgers Gardens reserves the right to reschedule your tour if extreme or unsafe weather is likely during your scheduled time.
- Rutgers Gardens welcomes groups of 10 to 25 attendees for general tour sessions.
- While smaller groups are welcome, a minimum fee will apply.
- We are happy to work with your group to design a customized educational tour focused on a particular topic. Tours requested for an extended length of time will have additional fees applied.
- The 10-guest minimum fee is due at time of reservation prior to your tour date, additional guest fees are paid before the tour begins.
- To ensure a positive experience for all attendees, we may split larger groups to run simultaneously with multiple guides.
