All volunteers should plan to arrive no later than the start of their assigned shift. The parking line backs up onto Ryders Lane even before the event starts (it is especially crazy on Fri. & Sat. morning). If there is a line when you arrive, you can drive past it and cut down the back way by the Bamboo Forest.
When you enter please tell the parking attendants that you are here to volunteer for the sale. They will let you know where you should park. If no one is around for you to talk to, volunteer parking is available on Log Cabin Road across from the Intern House and weather station. You may also park in the Holly House parking lot if necessary.
Volunteer Check In
All volunteers must check in at the Log Cabin. You will receive a t-shirt, name badge, a map of the sales area; a lunch coupon and a discount coupon on plants (please see benefits above).
In the event of an emergency, there will be a Rutgers Police officer at the large sales tent. He will be able to assist in any type of emergency. Should you not be able to find the officer, there is an emergency phone located outside of the Cabin next to the front door. This phone goes directly to the Rutgers University Police Department.
