Preview Sale and Rare Plant Auction: Thursday, May 5th, 3:00 to 7:30 pm
The preview is held each year before the sale opens to the public. The 2016 preview will take place on Thursday, May 5th from 3:00pm - 7:30pm. Avoid the weekend crowds while you have a glass of wine and be the first to select and purchase your plants.

This event has become so popular the following guidelines must be followed:

  • You must be valid by May 1, 2016 in order to attend
  • All Members will receive an invitation and only those who RSVP will be admitted to the preview (this is a catered event).
  • You will receive the following number of tickets based on your Membership level-
    Friend Level - 1 ticket
    Dual, Family, Sponsor levels - 2 tickets
    Benefactor and Patron levels - 4 tickets
    Garden Club level - 6 tickets

Pre-Sale Plants
Each year we feature a few plants that are very difficult to find or are typically very expensive to purchase and – as a benefit of being a Gardens Member – we are offering them for sale to members in advance of the spring sale.  The plants will be available for pick-up at the Thursday evening Preview Reception. Spring Flower Fair Plant Sale Highlights Class: Thursday, April 21 at 7:00pm
Bring your landscape design questions to this class where Bruce Crawford, Director of Rutgers Gardens, will address them. Also, he will discuss the growing conditions and uses of some of the most popular plants, as well as the rare and unusual plants available at this year's sale.

Spring Flower Fair Herb Sale Highlights Class: Thursday, April 28 at 7:00pm
Join with Gardens’ volunteer Caren White to get a sneak-peek at the large selection of herbs we will have available at this year's sale. From culinary to aromatic, household uses to ornamental, Caren will share tips about growing conditions and uses of some of our most popular herbs, as well as information about some of the new varieties you will see this year.
